Winter/Holiday Style Me Pretty Challenge. Week 4

Yayyyyy!! We are on the last week of the Style Me Pretty Challenge!  Well, maybe not yayyy because my daily emails are no longer coming in and that makes me sad!

I have to say that the first few days of January have been a little rough.  We have been a lucky family not to be hit with the flu bug that has been going around everywhere.  That being said, this mama has had quite an adjustment going back to work.

One of my goals while the kids were on Christmas break, was to get a chore chart in place for them.  I also wanted to take down the tree, organize the things in the house that have been out of place and finish and put away laundry.  I'm glad to say that I have been able to accomplish all of that.  What I haven't been able to accomplish is the after school portion of my day, which has meant that my clothing challenges have been put to the side while I struggle to fully wake up in the morning.  I am currently up WAAAAAAYYY passed my bedtime!

Well no pity party here, just some work that needs to be adjusted on my part.  What I do know is that I ABSOLUTELY enjoyed doing this challenge.  This is something I didn't even know existed online. But how cool is it?!  Alison Lumbatis is beyond talented.  This challenge made me pay attention to what I was wearing everyday.  I bought a pair of shoes that I would NOT have bought had it not been for this challenge, and I LOVE them.  It also gave me a little bit of a shopping problem but that's a totally different story!  In all honesty this was one of my personal highlights of 2014.  It may sound kind of dumb to you but for me, it meant the world.

I truly believe in dressing nice.  You don't have to spend a fortune on your wardrobe or have name brand things.  Dressing nice makes me feel good. Feeling good gives me confidence.  And confidence, well, we ALL know how GOOD that feels.

Day SIXTEEN:
Poncho, Plaid Shirt, Black Jeans or Leggings, Riding Boots

I don't have a poncho and we had a couple warmer days so I opted out on a sweater. I bought a super cute collared long sleeved shirt in San Diego over the summer and didn't really have the opportunity to wear it.  So today, I wore it!  LOVE LOVE LOVE this shirt, now I need a cute pearl necklace!

Day SEVENTEEN:
Cable Knit Sweater, Long Sleeved Tee, Printed Scarf, Gray Jeans, Riding Boots

You can't see, but I've got the long sleeved tee under my little jacket.  This jacket is very thin and I definitely wear it as top not a jacket.  Added some leopard and called it a day!

Day EIGHTEEN:
Long Cardigan, Neutral Tee, Leggings, Boot Socks, Wedge Boots

Instead of a long cardigan, I wore a cute little tunic tee I found at Wal Mart for $5!  I opted for skinny jeans and a tank under  to add some layering.

Day NINETEEN:
Tunic Sweater, Fur Scarf, Gray Jeans, Black Heels

Lazy Day, sweatshirt and sweatpants for this fashionista ;)!

Day TWENTY:
Plaid Shirt, Pencil Skirt, Printed Tights, Statement Necklace, Black Heels, Dressy Clutch

Work day today!  Needless to say I didn't wear a pencil skirt to work ;)

Day TWENTY ONE:
Dressy Sweater, Black Pants, Black Heels, Dressy Clutch

New Years was a BLAST!!  I opted for Black Riding Boots and Dressy Earrings instead of Heels and a Clutch.

Like I've said before this has been such a great thing for me! I know when the next challenge comes along, I WILL be joining in on it for sure.  I'm excited to say that I've teamed up with some awesome blogger friends for some more fashion fun blogging.  Be sure to look out for that later on this week.

In the meantime, please make sure and check out the lovely ladies from this challenge in the link's below.
